Better quality on campers.better service for customers and faster response . Customer service goes along way!

Stand behind your words and advertisement specially with the warranty! We bought a brand new camper, 2025 Mallard, but we are yet to use it bec it has water leak in the window. We have 1 yr warranty on the camper but yet Heartland denied the claim? Yall have got to do better!

We only have had the camper for a week and we already running in some problems like this! If it werent for the rain we had last week we wouldnt known about the water leak in the window.

Craftsmanship has got to get better! For future reference, make yall inspect any camper heartland manufactures or else, yall will be in the same boat with the rest of us!

Purchased a foldable ladder for my cyclone RV

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They claim the only way they can talk to you is by email, and that's the only way you can purchase parts from them. I went ahead and purchased a ladder and paid for the ladder, for which the shipping was just as much as the ladder.

This is OK, but after I made the payment, which they did receive, I have not gotten any communication from them. I asked, number one, does the hardware come with the ladder meaning the leg bolts you need, and when is it going to be shipped? I have not heard anything back from their supposed emails. I believe customer service has a lot to be desired to keep their customers happy, especially when they buy hundred and sixty thousand dollar campers.

I am not happy at all with the way things are going. I don't even know when I'm gonna receive this ladder.

Roof leak on 1 year old camper

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Apr 01, 2025

First, Heartland refused to complete the repairs that were APPROVED before we took the camper to Camping World. After a few emails, they have AGAIN agreed to repair the rotten roof and floors. However, we are going on 10 weeks that the camper has been at Camping World, and I cannot get Heartland nor Camping World to give me an estimated completion date.

Original review Mar 16, 2025
Purchased a NEW Heartland BigHorn. First camping trip neither electric heater worked, furnace didnt work, upstairs slide wouldnt work, the black tank was labeled as a grey tank, both downstairs slides leaked and inverter didnt work.

10 months after purchase, contacted Heartland customer service, after 5 months, finally got approval of where I HAD to take it for repairs. Now, the place I HAD to take it (Camping World) supposedly sent pictures that revealed neglect on my part! Explains why I couldnt take it to my choice for repairs! DO NOT PURCHASE A HEARTLAND PRODUCT!!!

They are the absolute worst built units on the market! Plus, due to the list of issues & pure disgust of the unit, I tried 3 dealerships to trade but all refused to have a Heartland on their lot!

Buyer Beware!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

2021 we purchased a new HeartLand BigHorn 5th wheel, 3950FL. This would be my 3rd camper so I'd like to say I have somewhat experience in what to look for.

In the first year 4 of the 6 hydraulic ram supports leaked. No big deal, took it in under warranty and all 6 were replaced. 3rd year 2024 we had one *** of a rain storm in west Texas. The kitchen slide roof and front couch roof leaked.

The rubber strip that the manufacture laid down covering the screws during fabrication basically didn't stick and was cheap material anyway. There was no caulking to seal the rubber strip that i could see. Water got underneath it and destroyed the windows and inner ceilings. Apparently it's been leaking for sometime but there were no signs until we had a hard rain storm.

I called both the dealer and HeartLand and no help at all. I was told by the dealer the camper was built during Covid and QC was an issue at the time. Heartland said any repairs had to be done within the first year. Still, this was a manufacture defect.

I'm having the repairs done myself but i can tell you this will be my last Heartland purchase. I had a Forest River Sierra before this one and no issues. Just fyi, pay attention to the extra purchased warranty which I did buy through the dealer. It does not cover water damage of any kind and any extra private insurance will not cover water damage.

Only if a tree falls on it.

That figures! Buyer beware of HeartLand campers.

You had a 1 year warranty. If you have issues on day 1 after the year you have to pay to have it repaired. Warranties mean what they say nothing more.

Dear Guest, I get it. My review is based on a new camper that was was only 3 years old and it's evident this leak has been there for quite some time due to rotten wood and mold.

It just wasn't discovered until we had a hard rain. This was a clear manufacturing defect. Nothing more, nothing less. What I would suggest to future buyers is purchase Eternabond roofseal tape 4" wide and apply over the screws at the slide out face plate. Then seal with Dicor caulking or Lexel.

Save yourself a headache and do this on day one just to be sure. What's funny is i didn't even mention that half the storage compartments also leak. I've had to replace the seals on those too.

just plain shotty construction for 100k camper. Lesson learned.

Purchased a Lemon

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I made a complaint about my Heartland Road Warrior 414RW that I bought back in October of 2022. The manufacturer didn't even care!

When I bought the camper and got it home, I did a thorough inspection behind removable panels. Down in the storage compartment, I had to remove multiple rags and trash from the area where all the electrical components were located. After cleaning up the area, I found that the covers were left off the electrical junction boxes, so I reinstalled them. The second issue was noticed when taking off the vent cover near the dining room table, the drain or vent pipe going to the bathroom was disconnected, so I re-glued it.

After fixing all of these issues, I took it out camping two times.

The first time the AC Unit went out in the bedroom. I brought it to the dealer for repair in July and they had to get an AC Unit on order. At that time, I had another trip that I had to go on, so I told them I would bring the unit back when the A/C came in. After the second trip, I started having problems with multiple components.

While driving down the road the fridge would come open and all the food would come out on the floor. (This was never repaired). Secondly, the living room slide would not come in and out without someone pushing on it. I also noticed that the slide cable was fraying.

Thirdly, the fridge buttons would not work, and it would only come on with propane. While using propane for the fridge, I noticed a leak by the right wheel well where the gas line was chafing on the structure. I had to do a quick repair while on the road. The next problem that I noticed was a bulge coming from the right front outside panel.

The dealer still needs to investigate this, but it might also be broken welds. I completely understand that this is a moving home and I understand how much the structure moves, but there are multiple seams that are separating and cracking the tape. The door going to the bedroom was damaged because the bracket that holds the door latch came loose and the door was bouncing back and forth on the slide. There were multiple dresser drawers that weren't latching and coming out while driving.

I'm always having to find ways to power the front two slides because they stop working on occasion.

I finally got my unit back last week and took it camping over the Memorial Day weekend and the faucet was leaking. While investigating, I noticed the leak coming from a crack in the faucet itself. I also had a hard time trying to extend the front left slide out because it was jamming on the tracks. I finally moved it out and back in multiple times and I was able to get it to come out.

When bringing the slide back in, it didn't go all the way in flush with the camper. I ordered a new faucet to replace this one and now I must turn the unit back into the dealer to work on the front left slide out and to investigate the bulge coming from the outside forward right of the structure. I have another camping trip in July, and I'm scared to turn it back in because I have a feeling it will be a long time before I get it back.

The approval process for every repair is ridiculous and it takes a long time.

I spend more time trying to repair the problems that I face on the road instead of enjoying camping with my family. I have owned RVs before and never had this many problems within a short period of time.

Cons:
  • Please read the review

Preferred solution: I wrote a complaint to the company and all they did was shove the warranty disclaimer in my face. I paid around 150,000 for the unit and I'm still making payments while it's been in the shop for well over a year.

User's recommendation: Don't Buy Heartland Product! They are cheaply built, and the customer service is not great at all.

NOT WORTH IT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our Heartland Pioneer RV has been stored inside for the last 2 1/2 years, with the exception of using it during the summer occasionally. We ventured out this past Christmas on an out of state trip, and the RV started leaking, it's still under warranty, and just want it fixed, just to be told that it's not covered because we didn't seal the roof every 90 days!!!

WHAT? We are new RV'ers, and we're never told to do this.

Got a bad rv !!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I can't express how deeply disappointed I am with Hartland RV and their South Fork model. This RV has been a nightmare since day one.

The build quality is shockingly poor; it feels like it was thrown together without any care. The longer we use it, the more problems ariseeverything from leaks to electrical issues. Its as if the RV was designed to fall apart.

Despite numerous attempts to contact customer service for help, Ive been met with complete indifference. Its infuriating to be ignored after spending so much on what should be a reliable product.

The lack of support from Hartland RV is just as disappointing as the RV itself.

If youre thinking about the South Fork, do yourself a favor and run the other way.

This has been one of the worst purchases of my life, and I genuinely regret ever getting involved with Hartland RV. Save your time, money, and sanitylook for an RV thats built to last!

I’m having to have my TT totaled because of negligence no behalf of Heartland RV Company

If they make good on this issue!

Original review Jun 10, 2024
Don't, I bought my TT in 2021 and used it for 3 months. I'm a traveling nurse.

I was on my way to Santa Barbara for work and blew out a tire, then when I got to the place I was staying the jacks broke, the awning broke, the black tank pulley broke and several other things broke. I had to call the place I purchased it to get help. I work in the OR doing surgery, I'm a surgical first assistant so I operate. I don't have time to sit and wait for help.

I finally got hold of someone to help me. When I was done with this assignment I took this TT back to the place I purchased it and left it there to be fixed. It was there for over 6 months. It cost me money and time.

My TT is my home away from home. I've since had nothing but trouble with it. The roof leaks, the pop out leaked and things are burnt up, the hot water heater is not working on power only on gas but not without scary stuff going on. The oven that I've never used doesn't work, I can go on.

I've always kept a cover on it. The roof looks like it's so old it belongs on a 15 year old TT. This is unacceptable.

I'm a nurse, I need to have this for my work. I've asked to have my money back or to have this POS replaced!

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY; NO ONE SHOULD EVER PURCHASE

Bought HEARTLAND SUNDANCE April 2022. Did not use until Feb 2023, immediate plumbing problems; first 6 months, plumbing joints under bathroom sink; next, about 2 year birthday, seal in back of toilet; now barely over 2 years later, cold water line attached to faucet has some ball wearing thru the line that barely gets used for fear of leaks , so now definitely no cold water in bathroom sink if at all interested in using the sink for fear of more leaks.

You dont even have to use the device and its deteriorating. Flooding with each and every occurrence, huge expenses each time since heartland does not really provide warranty repairs even with extended warrantys; there is always another excuse and of course so hard to find rv repairmen available after work hours for the emergency you come home to regularly; THEN theres the loss of property; this time it was my cardboard box full of my treasures from raising my children- HUGE LOSSES AND ONGOING WITH NO RETRIBUTION

VERY POOR QUALITY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

WE PURCHASED A 2022 MALLARD M210RB TRAVEL TRAILER. IT IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY.

WE HAD IT STORED FOR THE WINTER MONTHS AND AFTER OPENING IT UP TO GET IT READY FOR SUMMER WE HAD MICE. THEY LEAVE A HUGH MESS AND AFTER LOOKING FURTHER INTO HOW THEY GOT IN WE DISCOVERED AFTER REMOVING INSIDE PANELS THEY WERE 2 OPENS THAT YOU COULD SEE THE GROUND WHERE THEY WERE ENTERING. I HAVE BEEN TALKING WITH HEARTLAND CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ALL THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH POOR QUALITY ON A HUGH INVESTMENT IN MY LIFE.

DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT!!! I WISH MY HUSBAND WOULD HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING THEIR PRODUCT. IT SOUNDS LIKE SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR PRODUCT. IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT.

I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. BEVERLY JOHNSON WAS VERY SHORT AND RUDE TO ME AND I FELT SHE WAS BASICALLY TELLING ME *** YOU. I HAVE TRIED TO ASK MORE THAN ONCE ON SOMEONE THAT IS IN CHARGE OF THE COMPANY AND NO ONE WILL GIVE ME A NAME OR PHONE NUMBER.

IF IT WAS A COMPANY THAT I OWNED I WOULD HAVE MAJOR CONCERNS!!! BUT I GUESS WHEN YOU ARE A MILLIONAIRE YOU REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PEONS THAT WORK VERY HARD TO EARN A DOLLAR.

Purchased a 2022 Landmark Lafayette

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased this 2022 Landmark Lafayette fifth wheel last August sight unseen & have had nothing but problems with it. We bought it seeing a video.

The ac unit that cools the front living room isnt working to cool it down, the plumbing wasnt tightened like it should have been, broken closet door, missing vacuum. Not to mention the fact that the customer service sucks. They did send us a new vacuum & new closet door but my husband has to install the closet door. As far as the AC they sent what was supposed to be the part that was needed because we had a camper tech out and he said the ac unit was cooling the outside & was missing the part that comes inside shard I think its called anyway Heartland sent the wrong part.

Its been a month & its still not fixed. Do NOT ever buy a camper from them.

Now we are stuck waiting on another part. They dont care about their customers its just about money!!

Heartland RV accused of failure to deliver serviceable vehicle

Heartland RV is accused of failing to deliver a serviceable vehicle. Over 250 days in the service during the first year, and it still hasn't been returned to me.

A 2022 Heartland Torque toy hauler, being serviced at Camping World, was purchased new in spring 2023. I will NEVER buy another camper, period! I am still trying to find an Attorney to help me. No one wants to help because it is located in a state where the lemon law does not cover RVs, where they are built (Indiana).

Regardless of where you live or where you purchased it, you are required to go to their state to file a lawsuit. If anyone knows of someone that can help, please let me know.

I can't even sell it because I can't show it to anyone; it's not in my possession. Furthermore, the dealer tells me it's now worth less than 35% of the original MSRP.
