My husband and I purchased a Heartland Prowler 25 ft. Before we purchased, we were interested, not only in the layout and amount of storage space, but more importantly we asked about what we thought were very important issues such as the operation of the furnace, water heater, water pump, air conditioning unit, and size of water tank, etc.

Our first trip out and we noticed and were shocked by the poor quality of installation of the hinges on the cabinet doors. Hinges were not aligned evenly, screws and nails not sunk into wood on the inside of cabinets and on the finish around slide. Some doors had handles installed that left wood splintered. On our second trip out, one of the decorative pieces around the window had fallen away from the wall.

When we looked closely, the screw had been attached only to a paper thin wall. Light shades were installed crookedly. Screws holding the plate cover for the USB jack were screwed into nothingness, as we learned when we first used the jack. The couch in the rear space living area was not mounted straight onto to the floor.

Bits of screw heads were imbedded in the carpet which should have been vacuumed.

Only noticed this after stepping on a few of them. And the list goes on!!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Heartland Rvs Pros: Good looking unit was exactly what we were looking for.

Heartland Rvs Cons: Poor quality control.
